ALA is currently part of what is heralded as one of Melbourne’s largest archaeological digs at the Metro Tunnel.
Lead by Paul Pepdjonovic we currently have a team of over 20 archaeologists, conservators and artefact analysts excavating an important city site as part of the new Melbourne metro tunnel development.
Heritage Victoria are expecting the dig to provide a large collection of artefacts dating back more than 180 years. It really is a great opportunity to uncover objects which help construct a vivid picture of Melbourne's history.
